TRUE HAPPINESS True happiness may be sought, caught or thought, but never bought. Happiness is the result of being too busy to be unhappy. No one can define happiness. You have to be unhappy to understand it. Genuine happiness is when a wife sees a double chin on her husband's old girlfriend. Happiness does not come from what you have, but what you are. happiness is where you find it and seldom where you seek it. Happiness is home brewed The surest path to happiness is in losing yourself in a cause greater than yourself. The place to be happy is here, the time to be happy is now, the way to be happy is to make others happy. |

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said : "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that ? asked the customer. "Well you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me. if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering or pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all these things." The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the shop, he saw a man in the street with long stringy, dirty hair an an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept. The customer turned back and entered the barbershop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here , and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "NO!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like the man outside." "AH, but barbers DO exist ! What happens is, people do not come to me." "EXACTLY!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point ! God, too, DOES exist ! What happenes, is people don't go to Him and look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
DO NOT ASK THE LORD TO GUIDE YOUR FOOTSTEP'S , IF YOUR NOT WILLING TO MOVE YOUR FEET AND FIND HIM.

Our Public Enemy # 1
Our #1 enemy is Satin. His main objective is to cause each of us to lose our soul in the burning fires of Hell. We are warned in 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. " We must constantly watch out for Satan. He is very dangerous! Satan is real. He is not a fictitious character in a red suit, with horns, and a tail and carring a pitchfork. Satan can appear in many different forms. Paul says in 2 corinthians 11:14-15, "For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therfore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness." Satan is a master of disguises. He and his ministers can appear to us so innocently. Satan's main weapon is the lie. Jesus says concerning Satan in John 8:44, "When he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." Satan knows all our weaknesses and how to tempt and deceive us. In Genessis 2:16-17 God told Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil or they would die. But in Genesis 3:4 Satan told Eve, "You shall not surely die." Satan only added the word "not" to what God said and changed it to a lie. Satan will get what is due him. Revelation 20:10 says, "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone...and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever." But also notice verse 15, "And anyone not found in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." We must always be prepared in fighting Satan. In our preparation Paul says in Ephesians 6:11 to "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." In our fight with Satan we are told in James 4:7-8, "Resist the Devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." God will help us. |

Cell Phones VS the Bible I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to kids as gifts? What if we used it as we traveled? What if we used it in case of an emergency? This is something to make you go ...hmm ... where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because JESUS already paid the bill !!! Stop and think-- No dropped calls "Where are my Priorities?"
